Travel shopping. Possibly one of my favorite types of shopping. Not only do I get to splurge and buy those things that I normally wouldn’t – especially with the lack of access to certain (a lot) of brands in the Colombian fashion scene – but also because it means that, through these objects, I can revive the memories of a good trip.
And reviving good memories is precisely what I chose to do for my birthday: Hermès bracelet purchased in Rome, where I spent the most wonderful time with friends; Lamarthe bag purchased in Paris, in the company of the uber-powerful woman in my family; beaded/stone bracelets collected from random beach travels in Colombia… and the Gucci watch I recently ‘stole’ from my mom.
Not a bad outfit to blow those candles… Reminding me that this year will be one of travel and new adventures abroad.
